Mountain View is home to the Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District and the Southwest Baptist University-Mountain View campus. Education is a priority here, and students of all ages, from preschool to senior adult, have the opportunity to grow academically.

Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District
The Mountain View and Birch tree communities provide a comprehensive educational program from its 1,300+ students from two elementary campuses at Birch Tree and Mountain View and one secondary campus situated between the two towns.

The educational program includes a regular and college preparatory diploma for high school students, Title 1 remedial classes, pre-Kindergarten classes for three- and four-year-olds, handicap student accessibility and education, a gifted and talented program, as well as K-12 summer school.

Southwest Baptist University – Mountain View
Mountain View hosts a satellite campus of Southwest Baptist University, a Christ-centered, caring academic community preparing students to be servant leaders in a global society. With higher learning close to home, many from our region take advantage of earning their college degree here. A full-range of classes are offered during the fall and spring semesters, and students can earn their full college degree right in Mountain View.
