Demographics
According to the 2010 census, there were 2,719 people living in Mountain View, including 1,151 households and 690 families residing in the city.

Of the households, 31.9 percent had children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.3 percent were married couples living together. The average household size was 2.28 and the average family size was 2.92.

The median age in the city was 39 years, with 24.8 percent of residents under the age of 18; 9.2 percent between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.3 percent from 25 to 44; 21.5 percent from 45 to 64; and 22.2 percent 65 years of age or older.
