Christmas Craft Show & Winter Celebration

Kids love to visit with Santa, who will be located in the gazebo Saturday until parade line up. In the event of inclement weather, he will take shelter inside the community center.

Join Mountain View Chamber of Commerce in celebrating Christmas and wintertime in Mountain View with a 2-day event.

The festivities get underway in and around Mountain View Community Center, 125 E. 1st Street at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9. There will be craft vendors and delicious food. On Saturday, the craft show will be open 8 a.m to 5 p.m. in and around the community center and Santa will be visiting children at the gazebo (inside if inclement weather). At 2 p.m., the annual Christmas parade themed “It’s a Wonderful Life in Mountain View” will take place. Float entries in two categories – religious and non-religious will be judged. Float entries will be judged on identifiable theme (how well the float fits the parade theme), workmanship, design and general effect.

The Mountain View-Birch Tree FFA took first place in the non-religious category of last year’s Christmas parade.
