hour driving distance from lake. If the river with canoeing, floating,
fishing and camping is what you enjoy, we are minutes from the beautiful
clear rivers to the East and West of Mountain View. If you just enjoy
shopping, we have several flea markets and antique shops that might
interest you. Mountain View is known for being the City of Murals. Stop
by the Chamber office and pick up a map to walk around town to view
each mural painted by our hometown girl, Juanita Bright.
Mountain View has one of the most beautiful golf courses in Southeast
Missouri. Mountain View Municipal Golf Course is an 18 hole course. Carts for rent
and a club house open daily. Stop by, play 18 holes and see for yourself
or just stop and visit with Gracie, the manager at the pro shop. You
are never a stranger when you walk through the club house door, she
makes you feel right at home.
